Edward Marquis – The Founder

Edward is the Founder and Director of the company and is based in the south of France. Edward has inspected every property that is featured in France and Italy, and looks after the management of the properties in the south of France.

Edward was born in Edinburgh and spent his early years in Scotland. He graduated in Russian and History from London University and went on to do a post graduate course in Book and Magazine production, and Business Management at the London College of Printing. His first appointment was as Export Manager for India for Penguin Books and he later moved on to become Asia sales manager, and set up the Penguin Books office in Hong Kong. During his 5 years at Penguin Edward visited most bookshops and universities between Istanbul and Tokyo.

The allure of travel got into his blood. He started his career in travel in conference, trade fair and event management, later moving into retail and leisure travel. He was one of the pioneers of the luxury villa rental market, initially contracting some of the first villas with pools in Tuscany over 30 years ago. He has worked for luxury villa rental companies in the USA, in the UK and in France, and has been involved in the luxury villa and concierge business in St Tropez for over 25 years.

Edward is a keen photographer and has taken many of the villa shots on this website. He is an ardent cricket follower, is an MCC member and has played at Lord’s himself. When he is not looking after clients, or inspecting new villas and destinations, he is probably at his happiest in one of the stands at Lord’s or having grilled fish and a bottle of local Rosé wine at one of St Tropez’s famous beach bars.

Annie Kalogirou – The French Riviera Partner

Annie brings a wealth of international experience to the L’e Marquis team. Her passion for communication and service has determined her personality.

A graduate of the Ithaca College of New York with MSc in Corporate Communication and Public Relations, she has enhanced her knowledge as a communication manager for several major corporations over a twenty year career. She has also been responsible for large budgets, for corporate and personal events, and for guest relations in international hotels.

Since moving from Athens to Cannes in 2012, she has focused on private and business events, as well as providing concierge services to luxury villas. She is fluent in English, French and Greek. She carries out the most demanding projects in the most effective and creative way. She is a true professional.

Luisa Moreno – The Italy (Rome & South) Partner

Luisa brings a wealth of experience in the luxury travel world to L’e Marquis. She is a highly driven professional with over thirty years experience in the hotel business managing a range of different hotels from business to pure leisure, resort, boutique hotels within an international and local  environment. She has a proven track record of developing long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements. She has a deep knowledge of the South of Italy, and of the Amalfi Coast in particular.

She is skilled in handling multiple processes, planning and forecasting, and applying Agile principles to deliver successful project outcomes. She is a graduate of ‘La Sapienza University’ in Rome and has a Master’s degree in Philosophy: this has helped her to motivate and gain commitment from others, escalate and accelerate activities and issues to meet targets, and identify challenges to achieve a positive commercial outcome.

Jennifer Perrine – The Mauritius Partner

Jennifer has been involved in the tourism industry in Mauritius for over 15 years and brings a wealth of experience to L’e Marquis Luxury.  She is a Graduate in Tourism and Hospitality from the University of Mauritius, and has worked for the Mauritius Tourism Authority, and for luxury hotels on the island.  Her philosophy combines Sustainable Tourism with Luxury Exclusive Travel, she brings her own unique touch so that our clients discover the authentic and deep Mauritius, as she cherishes it herself.

Gosia Kania – The Mexico Partner

Gosia has travelled the world extensively and brings a wealth of experience to L’e Marquis, . She has promised herself, that one day she will move to a place that she will absolutely fall in love with. So here she is, since June 2018, living her dream in San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico.

She has a huge passion for Los Cabos and loves sharing it with our guests. Gosia has personally visited every property on the website, has dined at every restaurant that we recommend and has taken part in every experience that we offer. In fact she has created some of the unique tours especially for our clients.

Gosia is originally from Poland, where she has first graduated from a Hotel Management School and next got her Bachelor Degree in Marketing & Advertising. She has lived for nearly 10 years in Ireland and  touched every continent and sailing across every ocean.

After visiting over 100 countries, my biggest joy now is creating lifetime memories for our clients! And the area where I live has so much to offer! I cannot wait to welcome you to our magical Los Cabos!

Linda Ugo – The London Partner

Linda is delighted to bring her 26 years of experience to Le Marquis Luxury to enhance their exclusive concierge services.

George Seatter – The Insurance Enforcer

George plays a vital role at L’e Marquis by ensuring that every property the company handles is fully ensured against any eventuality.

George has ben one of the UK’s leading private client insurance brokers for the past 15 years. He started with student specialist Endsleigh before joining Stackhouse Poland (SP) in 2002 to help them develop their national relationship with the wealth management company, St James Place.

George then created Green Park Insurance Services (GPIS) as a joint venture between SP and Mayfair based Alexander Associates Group in London. GPIS rapidly became on of the market leaders in providing tailored insurance – essentially a single policy covering household, motor and travel insurance, and, where applicable, yacht and private aviation.

This business was sold in September 2015 and George joined SPF Private Clients. SPF, (formerly Savills Private Finance), is one of the UK’s leading financial services companies, and George is currently working with them to develop their private client insurance business.

George cares passionately about the service he provides and appreciates that the true value of a high net worth insurance policy is only shown in the event of a claim.

Q (and Bearmiles)

Q is everywhere. Q has inspected your property, Q will welcome you at your property, Q will come home with you if you love him. You may see him on the back of the shirts worn by our maids and chefs. You may spot him on one of his special ibo-Maraca Panama hats, or on the back of a T-shirt in St Tropez.  You will get him if you buy a Bomber jacket.

And Q created the Bearmiles loyalty programme. But these Bears are not stupid, they were not born yesterday: they are numbered limited edition Bears. They are a protected species.
